Love him or hate him, there’s no denying the impact of this one person on the past, present and future of America.

Many people have said many things, indeed, written many books about this man. But I doubt any have addressed a spiritual perspective, especially one derived from an obscure system of wisdom originating in ancient Hawaii.

The Surprising Value of a Spiritual Perspective

Have you ever wondered what’s underneath the events, headlines and major figures of the day? Wonder what it all means? Is it just chaos or is there some way for it to all make sense?

The System of Wisdom from ancient Hawaii known as Ho’ala Huna, which translates as “to cause an awakening to” and “the nature of Reality” offers surprising insight into our modern world. And yes, it does make everything make sense.

Clarity is the greatest benefit of true spiritual wisdom. That which makes very clear what is Real versus what is not, reveals deeper truth and nuance. When you can see clearly, you can see what your choices are. Chaos disappears into a vision of Perfection. Fear is replaced with Loving understanding. Powerlessness is replaced with True Power.

Contrast brings everything into sharp focus for the purpose of Clarity. If you understand the purpose of contrast, there is no need to fear it. It’s there for a reason: to empower and enlighten you.

The Value of spiritual wisdom is to have a “leg up” when making decisions, living your life, and using your true power. When you have empowering information at your disposal, you feel confident, in tune and aligned with Life Itself.

The Big Difference Between Who You Are and Who You Are Not

A “working hypothesis” is something you can use to try something out. Making an assumption based on a postulate applied to a circumstance allows for Clarity by way of experience. You get to see what works and what doesn’t; what’s Real and what’s not.

Here’s the assumption: You are a Divine Being.

It means you are a part of a Whole. Like a drop of water is part of the ocean. The Whole, Divinity, is All-There-Is. You are an inseparable part of this Divine Whole which makes you a Divine Being.

What does that mean?

Why are you here on earth in this life?

Because as a Divine Being whose eternal home is the World of Spirit, you wanted to experience something else– meaning derived from contrast.

Enter malu, that which provides contrast. Life-taking energy/spirits that give us thoughts and feelings that are not ours. But if we don’t know, we identify with those thoughts and feelings and act on them.

Ego-Mind, is a nice way to say, a malu corrupted mind. A mind infiltrated with the many life-taking energies that are based in the illusion of fear, need and false power (at least as it is used here).

A reason to love Donald?

Donald Trump, who is also a Divine Being, has presented such an exemplary example of Ego-Mind that the spiritual value is just to great to ignore. God bless him!

Make no mistake though, no matter who we are in the world, we are ALL Divine Beings who came from the same place and go back to the same place, just like walking out of good movie, what a ride! It was for the experience of it all, which one could argue, is what God craves. All of our unique experiences have value to All-That-Is.

The Characteristics of Ego-Mind

The first characteristic of Ego-Mind is that it is based in illusion. It is made up of dark energies that only exist as potential in the World of Form. But, like a virus, they have a will to exist built into their programming. And like anything with a will to exist, that will ALWAYS take precedence over any other priority.

Ego-Mind is SELFISH. Therefore, it will only ever pretend to be interested in the “Greater Good” if it can gain something for itself from doing so.

Ego-Mind is unapologetically ARROGANT, which may be seen as “strength” or “confidence”. It is not. In fact, arrogance is quite the opposite of confidence and strength. Arrogance needs to make itself better than, to counter the underlying unconscious belief it is actually less than. Arrogance is an energy of boastfulness that has a need to proclaim elevated stature, wealth, intellect, etc. The quiet assurance of self confidence has no such need and speaks for itself through deed and respectful discourse rather than blab.

Ego-Mind has to be THE BEST. The more entrenched Ego-Mind is, the more it has a need to be, have and do better than, whomever or whatever. Arrogance serves SUPERIORITY.

Because it is ‘superior’, Ego-Mind is ENTITLED and that supersedes fairness, rules, laws or any other code of ethics because it believes it is entitled to whatever it wants. Therefore, it will take, legally or otherwise, whatever it wants and can get away with and then proclaim its prowess at outsmarting the system. “Because I’m smart” was Donald’s response to Hillary Clinton when confronted with tax evasion at a debate.

One could say Ego-Mind is all about IMAGE because this is how it derives attention from others, which sustains its survival.

Donald is consumed with his image, how he looks to others, hence gold-plated toilets, gold-plated everything. Many famous people loathe the fame that comes with their status or profession. Altruistic people will use their fame as a platform for doing good things. But a DESIRE FOR FAME for its own sake is merely VANITY.

People who are obsessed with image will often present themselves in an “altered state” like women who go too far with plastic surgery and end up with a distorted version of themselves, but to Ego-Mind it’s better. Donald’s hair is a perfect example.

To Donald, in addition to a perpetual tan, his hair is a point of pride and an integral part of his image. It must be just so, fashioned to show that he not only has some, but a lot. It’s important to Ego-Mind that these things contribute to the image of superiority it needs to present.

But instead of looking good or better, it just reveals the distorted image of the life-taking energy they are identified with.

WINNING is a need of Ego-Mind because it supports its image of superiority therefore, being called a loser must be avoided at all costs. Cheating and stealing are in service to “winning” and therefore completely justified. “Getting over” on your opponents, enemies or a system (like the tax or legal system) is how you “win”.

The concept of win/win is nonexistent to Ego-Mind because it’s always in a contest to make itself look better than, not equal to, or cooperating with, someone else. Being “on top” is a priority for Ego-Mind as it derives elevation, and therefore survival, through comparison.

Whatever needs to be done to win is fair to Ego-Mind, but only fair if it wins. If someone else wins, which means it loses, it’s not fair and of course, will claim to be a victim of horrible unfairness.

If bills get passed through Congress that help the ultra-rich that Ego-Mind wants to be like but hurts regular people, well that’s okay because praise from those it sees as “rich”, “powerful” or “on top”, whose club it wants to belong to for image purposes, is the only thing that’s important to Ego-Mind.

Because Ego-Mind is based in illusion, (a mindset of erroneous thoughts and feelings) it needs image and arrogance to counter its illusory existence. DECIETFLNESS serves image. To Ego-Mind truth is irrelevant and only gets in the way with the need to control image.

The fact that still to this day, Donald continues to spout the Big Lie that the election was stolen from him despite mountains of evidence to the contrary, AND at the expense of the very foundations of our democracy, is clear proof that nothing is more important to Ego-Mind than its own survival. Everything is in service to that end.

To Ego-Mind, survival of itself is more important than a 230-year-old free nation, including all its inhabitants, it’s history and future!

Think about it. In order to concede that the Big Lie is actually a Big Lie, Donald would have to step into his Divinity with Honesty, Humility and Grace. But he was taught by his father, and has lived his whole life, identified with that which values superficial material wealth, fame and status much more highly than things like character and integrity.

The fastest way to spot Ego-Mind is in those who, regardless of their status, wealth or any amount of superior privilege, will always claim to be a VICTIM of one thing or another. Fear/victim energy is foundational to Ego-Mind.

In the 2020 election, he claimed fraud and victimhood before the election even happened. Has there ever been a time when Donald, despite his wealth, fame and status, did not have an issue going on for which he claimed victimhood? When he was sued for discriminating against rental tenants, he was the victim; when he faced multiple accusations for assaulting women, he was the victim; when he tried to overturn an election, he’s the victim.

As the eternal victim, BLAME is a constant thread of discourse regarding everything. It’s the radical left’s fault, the media’s fault or A-Z conspiracy is to blame. Blame serves victimhood.

Ego-Mind AVOIDS RESPONSIBILITY. It will never take responsibility for anything ever because it’s NEVER WRONG about anything ever. Accepting responsibility for something might require admitting wrong-doing or putting others before itself in some way which Ego-Mind isn’t capable of doing.

Ego-Mind AVOIDS APOLOGIZING. It will never apologize for anything ever because it’s never wrong in the first place. With Ego-Mind’s logic, if it’s always the victim, why should it apologize? Someone else should be apologizing to it.

Ego-Mind AVOIDS GIVING CREDIT. It will not give credit, compliments or accolades to anyone ever UNLESS it will benefit from doing so. All relationships serve its narrative of superiority in some way, or it has no use for them.

Ego-Mind needs FALSE POWER which it derives from the image of superiority. While Real Power is based in characteristics of Divinity like Integrity, Humility, Confidence and Courage, etc., false power is based on outer things like image, wealth, fame, popularity and gold-plated stuff.

Real Power is about Trust and Respect that is earned through Honesty, Compassion, Generosity and Kindness. Real Power embraces Change and Flow. Real Power endures while false power is temporary and hollow.

Ego-Mind AVOIDS CHANGE because survival is dependent on CONTROL. Therefore, it resists change and will never “go with the flow” because that would require releasing control.

Ego-Mind is SELF-CENTERED. To Ego-Mind it’s all about me, me, me and everything in the universe revolves around it.

Ego-Mind HAS TO BE “RIGHT” because to be “wrong” would affect its image and therefore its survival. Admitting it’s wrong about something, anything, requires Respect for the other person and their position even if it’s the correct one. Ego-Mind is incapable of Respect for anyone or their position, perspective or even facts. The ONLY criteria for Ego-Mind is how it looks to others and the false power it derives from that. Therefore, it has to win/be right, no matter what.

To Ego-Mind, LOYALTY means that other people are loyal to it. It’s not reciprocal. The image of reciprocity may be required to get something in return but when push comes to shove, that loyalty vanishes like dust in the wind. Just ask Bill Barr, Mark Meadows, Rudy Guilliani or Mike Pence, just to name a few in the long list of no-longer-needed-to-serve-me-and-my-interests people who have been cast aside by the Ego-Mind of Donald Trump.

Loyalty to a Principle like the Constitution or any other set of laws, norms or code of ethics for its own sake is anathema to Ego-Mind. Principles are just silly notions that sound nice but if they get in the way what it wants, well that’s where “justifiable deceit” comes in.

Ego-Mind has a habit of telling you what it is/does. It’s called PROJECTION. It accuses others of doing exactly what it is doing: lying, cheating, trying to steal an election. “Stop the Steal!”

Ego-Mind has no conception of Reality or Realness. Because Ego-Mind is rooted in illusion and deceit, its whole existence is FAKE. Fakeness is all it has so naturally, it will project onto others who see through it or call it out, as being fake. “Fake news”.

Ego-Mind needs constant DRAMA. Because he has yet to provide any reason or explanation, we can only speculate as to why Donald took a massive amount of government documents to his country club home in Florida. I can however, speculate as to what a probable motivation would be from the perspective of Ego-Mind: the need for constant drama, keeping a finger in the mix by doing something it knows is improper or illegal. Entitlement serves drama, avoidable or not.

Like the kid who gets kicked out the ball game for bad behavior so he takes all the balls home with him just to make everyone ask for them back. Ego-Mind wants and needs attention and if it can’t get positive attention, negative attention is an acceptable substitute because no attention is unbearable to Ego-Mind as its survival is dependent upon the false power it gets from attention.

Probably the most important characteristic of Ego-Mind that affects us all directly, whether it’s that of Donald or anyone else, is that the life-taking energies of Ego-Mind WILL NEVER STOP doing what they do because they cannot be anything other than what they are. They must be MADE to stop. And this is perhaps, the lesson for the rest of us.

Remember Harvey Weinstein and the Me Too Movement? Like any serial offender, the wherewithal to control an energy that one is so completely identified with is simply not there without a major event to shake them loose from it. Therefore, it is up to those around the person, and especially those affected by the energy, to muster the Courage to take a stand, or it simply will not stop.

Consequences and Pain

Ironically, many, if not all, of the behaviors of Ego-Mind actually have the opposite effect it’s looking for because to those who are not so identified, these behaviors just appear foolish and stupid.

Sure, there may be times when a person like Donald, defies these characteristics for a moment because those are those times when his Divinity has had a chance to emerge just long enough to express his True Nature. He might say thank you to someone and actually mean it. Or tell a family member he loves them. I’m sure there are other moments.

But until someone who has been so identified with Ego-Mind for so long has had a) adequate consequences for Ego-Mind’s actions, b) Humility enough to let Ego-Mind go and/or c) makes a Conscious Decision toward spiritual growth and enlightenment; they are destined to lead a life blind to actual Reality and eventually those negative energies produce consequences via cause and effect. It’s a self-correcting system.

Pain is the medicine for someone identified with Ego-Mind. While pain is not absolutely required for someone to shake Ego-Mind, it’s nearly impossible to without it. Anyone, at any time, can Choose Humility, and therefore invoke Grace, which negates the need for consequences and pain. But it’s rare. Pain is usually required and is the built-in fail safe for shaking loose the illusion of Ego-Mind; maybe not in this lifetime, but at some point.

My spiritual teacher used to say, “The worst kind of pain is the pain you don’t even know you’re in.” Kind of goes with, doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Insanity. With the legal morass Donald has created for himself, probably both are true for him.

Compassion, not judgement, is an appropriate response from the rest of us.

Divinity is our True Nature

We are ALL Divine Beings underneath the masks we wear. The Ego-Mind seeks to hide our True Identity so that we can play this Game of Life that includes the spectrum of contrasts.

It is all a part of a Perfect Plan that we may experience the vast spectrum of energies from the pits of despair to the heights of ecstasy and we can only do that in the World of Form.

So, thank you Donald, for representing in such spectacular fashion, the characteristics of Ego-Mind. We thank you because, from our Divinity, we are able to appreciate you in your Divinity. Though it may be well hidden, we can know for sure, you are a Divine Being just like the rest of us.

Experiencing Contrast is the point of the World of Form

We also appreciate the outstanding Clarity you provide for us to see VERY CLEARLY the difference between identification with Ego-Mind and identification with Divinity. And while most of us fluctuate daily between various Light and dark energies, there are those rare individuals who represent a CLEAR EXAMPLE of each. Like the Dalai Lama is a clear example of someone primarily identified with Divinity, Donald is a clear example of primary identification with Ego-Mind.

For the purpose of Contrast in the World of Form, they are BOTH of equal value.

ALL of Divinity is Equal in Value. That means each and every one of us is of Equal Value. Regardless of what we are identified with, Victim, Saint, Anger, Anxiety, Serenity, Sorrow, Peace or Rage; it’s a Spiritual Truth that the potential for ALL of those things are contained within each and every one of us.

Therefore, Donald, in all his golden glory, loved or hated, hero or victim, is a Divine Being whose Divine Purpose could very well be as an example of what these energies are capable of so that we can learn, change and grow, as individuals, and as a nation.

A Huna Principle says that those with the Consequences are those with the Responsibility, and those with the Responsibility are those with the Authority. That means US. WE are the ones who must make Conscious Choices about whether we want those identified with Ego-Mind to choose the direction of our country based on the false power of fear, image and deceit; or those identified with the Principles of Divinity: Fairness, Equality, Freedom and Integrity to be involved with law-making that affects all of us.

Aloha!
